more modifications
I’ve tried and tried to tweak this layout to give me slightly wider left/right sidebars, so that desert poem could fit back in there the way it used to (yes, Claudia, I’m working on it!).
Alas, my CSS kung fu is rather weak. I’m gonna have to find some references, see what it is I’m missing. It’s also a safe bet that I’m overlooking something tiny and simple, too.
But yes, that poem is based on a soliliquy of King Theoden’s from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers; I just tweaked it to fit my desert setting, and to reflect my attitude towards my bout of writer’s block at the time I started this blog back in January.
Maybe if I post progress reports on my novel, that’ll push me to get more done per week than I am currently.
I like it, Summer! WordPress is used for my weblog, too, and so far it’s been a good platform. I’m in a similar situation as you, with novel-writing. I’ve tried just about everything to get the motivation going. I hope posting about the progress helps.
