Serenity screening
I actually stood in line with the other Browncoats last night, and the lot of us got to see Serenity with Nathan Fillion in the audience with us.
That’s right… Captain Malcolm Reynolds was there, and not only is he as funny as hell, he’s even prettier in person than he is on screen. Didn’t actually think that was possible, but there you have it.
He warmed up the audience before the movie (as if we really needed it), and he hung around after the movie, answering questions from the audience for close to an hour, then spent another half-hour signing goodies for the fans who hung around to get stuff autographed.
We were also recorded singing “Happy Birthday” to Joss Whedon, and signed a banner that was going to be sent to him… Nathan even signed it, too.
Oh, and the movie’s just as good the second time around. I honestly may end up seeing this at least 3 more times this year, and who knows how many times once it comes out on DVD.
And I’m still doing my part to introduce people to the Firefly ‘verse, ’cause I know once they’ve been there, they never wanna leave.
But I may have to buy another DVD set for lending… it’s getting kind of tough to live without my set for weeks on end, while others are enjoying the salty goodness of the series.
