WFC 2005

Yes, I’m at WFC, and for some reason, this time around the panels I want to attend are sparse, and spread way out. This of course, means I’ll be able to spend more time in the dealer’s room and the art room, and at the two ample used bookstores that are in between the con hotel and the hotel I’m staying at.

Anyone who thinks this is a good idea doesn’t know me and my book and art compulsions very well. :)

Luckily, I’ll be hanging out some on Saturday afternoon with a fellow podcasters, Chuck Tomasi of ChuckChat Technorama, since he lives in the area. This means I’ll get to meet the owner of the Wisconsin PODCAST license plate (Evo from the Dragon Page owns the Arizona one).

I’m also hoping to spend some time with some authors and publishers and make some more connections here. I wish I had some flyers for Evo and Tee’s Podcasting for Dummies book (coming out next week) to pass out at the con, but alas, I guess I’ll just have to talk to the few people who’ve asked me about podcasting so far.

I’ve already run into Bob Urell, who I didn’t know was coming, and finally met Matt Stover, big old fun bear that he is.

I’ve finally put faces to a lot of the author names I’ve been talking to and emailing in arranging Dragon Page interviews, and hopefully spreading the word and getting a few more people to remember to contact me when they’ve got new stuff coming out.

As for posting comments, there’s a close-quote graphic below the entry box that matches the open-quote graphic that you see inside the text entry box. I’m using Firefox 1.0.7, so if you’re not seeing that image, let me know.

And I still don’t know why half the time, your comments are being held for moderation as being potential spam. Very odd.
