This time, John reminded me in time, and it was a good thing… this was a question near and dear to my heart that I did really want to answer.

The question: What’s your favorite sub-genre of science fiction and/or fantasy?

Go and read our answers. I will say now that there’s more than a few series and books I didn’t include, and that was because I didn’t want to make a long long list.

The funny thing is, at the most recent CopperCon 28 back in August, I was on a panel about the very thing I put in my answer… “Sleuthing and Crime Solving in Scifi and Fantasy”. We came up with a long list of fun reads and favorites in that panel… it’ll take me forever to get to half of them.

I haven’t been writing as much as I should, which is bad from the NaNoWriMo perspective, but good from the perspective that I’m writing at all.

I did find a brown widow spider in my garage again. It might be the same one that my roommate shooed away a couple months ago, or it might be a different one. But it made a web in the same spot as the other one. No egg sacs that I can see, but it’s definitely a brown widow. I would very much like it to find another home, though.

Well, in all fairness, I have been super busy… FarPoint Media is expanding at a crazy rate, and that means more websites and technical consults.

In the long run, it’s a very good thing. In the short run, I’m lacking sleep.

I’m also still sending my special copy of “So Say We All” around to contributors, and as soon as I get it back from Richard Hatch, it’ll be on it’s way to Matt Stover to add his signature to it. After that, I’m not sure who I’ll try to send it to next.

I’m still tweaking some of the finer points, font sizes, object placements, but for the most part, the remodeling is complete.

My reading time lately has diminshed, but I intend to catch up a little bit over the holiday season, since we’ll have some downtime from recording the shows. Maybe catch up on a few movies and TV shows as well.

Yep, that’s where I am now. But it’s a good kind of busy, really it is. I have clients for website design and hosting, and more of them are waiting in the wings, so it’s not really a bad thing.

I have not been able to write as frequently or as much the past 6 weeks or so, and that’s something that will be changing after this next project push is completed. I hope to have some very good news by the end of the year, on that front.

Things have gotten busier, with me drumming up business for myself, and doing more for the Slice of SciFi / Dragon Page Radio shows.

Getting interviews with TV and movie folks is considerably more work (and more pesterful) than getting interviews from authors, but things are starting to open up.

I’m also helping spearhead a new podcast about Babylon 5, and once that’s up and running I hope all the old B5 fans I used to chat with come on over to hear what we’re doing.

I think it’s going to be that fun sort of scary.

A Touch of Summer Holistic Therapies should be open for business full-time real soon now.

Things will be alternately busy and quiet, with the Dragon Page Radio shows, and with my new massage studio, which I hope to get up and running during the beginning of December.

I guess I’m just going to have to manage my time better and get through all the distractions one at a time.
